Branding isn’t complicated.

There are three sections to this workbook.
First, fill out a 4 part questionnaire. It’s designed for you to start brainstorming who you’re talking to, where they are, what they want, and what you want to tell them. These bits of information shape how your brand should look and sound like. You want it to be attractive to your ideal client.
You develop your ideal client avatar. Multitasking at its finest! That helps your future marketing efforts. Your branding work won’t go to waste, because you’ll know exactly where to go to find your customers.
Use your imagination
Second, get creative with what inspires you! Use the prompts to doodle, write, scribble, cut-and-paste, etc all the visual elements that speak to you. Maybe you love that font? Put a sample here. Break out the pencil crayons and play with color combinations.
Go back to grade school with this. Create a collage with images and icons cut out from advertising. Which seems to say things similar to what you want to say?
And don’t forget about your brand’s messaging. Find your “bumper sticker” tagline. Experiment with phrases. How many different ways can you say what you do?
Write it down
Third, create your brand rule book AKA Style Guide. Make the decisions about what your visual brand will be like, and what your brand’s voice will sound like. Write it down here for future reference!
